18 Year Old Man Seriously Injured In Bike Accident

An 18 year old man was badly injured while riding his bicycle in Temecula on Thursday, September 6th when he was struck by a car, according to authorities.

Lionel McGee was riding his bike, heading west in the eastbound lane of Margarita Road at about 9 p.m. when he rode in front of a vehicle making a left turn onto Rancho California Road.  According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s department, that was where the vehicle hit him.  McGee was then taken to the Inland Valley Regional Medical Center in Wildomar where he was admitted, after having suffered major injuries.  The driver of the vehicle, whose name was not disclosed by authorities, was not injured in the accident.
