Bumble Bee Employee Cooked To Death
According to Whittier Daily News, Whittier PD received a call at about 7am Thursday regarding an industrial accident. When they arrived at the scene they found 62 year old Jose Melena, a bumble bee employee was cooked to death in an industrial oven.
Cal OSHA spokeswoman Erika Monterroza states that Melena “was fatally injured when he was cooked” (DUH!) resulting in this “horrendous tragedy”.
Bumble Bee Foods according to the Associated Press expressed their condolences to the Melena family and operations in the plant have been suspended until Monday morning.
